Creative beginnings, broken, then Restored.

As a “Restored Heart” artist I was attracted and inspired at a very young age to bright vivid colors by an artist named Peter Max, which caused me to paint my entire bedroom in wild colors that most people would never be able to sleep in, but for me, it was like being in heaven.

In college I dived into wall murals and and black and white sketches, pencil shading which my college professor discouraged me from ever doing, especially with my unique style of art. It broke my heart!

Years later while traveling the world, teaching my own son music and creative art, I discovered several artists everywhere with broken hearts just like mine.

Maybe it wasn’t in college where they were broken, but because their hearts were suffering, my heart lifted and my new art was on its way.

I decided to explore broken glass, using resin and acrylic, combining colors, photographs, and other natural materials. Today after years of work, my art is now displayed in dignitaries homes as well as writers, entrepreneurs, and in secret famous locations. Today I’m creating art to remind us of loved ones and cherished memories.

Ive studied art in Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and I saw the high use of natural materials like flowers, plants and stones in all kinds of art. I incorporate elements like these into my broken glass art, which becomes a restored heart in every piece.
